EarthFirst was created when David Suzuki planted a seed in an individuals mind in 2009, during his last lecture ‘The Legacy’ at the Sydney Opera House.
During the days and weeks that followed, the seed began to feed on information about the state of our planet. As its little leaves began to sprout, it became evidently clear that it was not easy to find environmentally friendly products.
And so EarthFirst grew its first bud and began to bloom.
We all lead busy lives. Juggling family, work and friends can sometimes be a struggle, so it’s no wonder that we take shortcuts in what we eat, what we buy and the things we do.
Sometimes it’s just easier to order take out, than to cook a meal from scratch. And more often than not, we jump into our car to run an errand down the road, when we probably should be walking.
It’s just the way life is, sometimes.
EarthFirst is not a site for extreme enviromentalists, it’s a site for those of us who are concerned about our health and who worry about whether the Earth is still going to be a sustainable place to live in for generations to come.
It’s for those of us who want to make a difference by doing their little bit. Because every little bit, no matter how small and insignificant it may seem adds up to a whole lot when we work on it together.
