March 23 is National Ride 2 School Day
BY DIONNE LISTER
Bicycle Network Victoria has organised a National Ride 2 School Day throughout Australia to promote the health benefits of being active. It has the added benefit of reducing pollution. Schools can get sticker packs to distribute and one school has organised for a large group to meet at the bakery and ride together.
It is obvious that this initiative is promoting community as well as health and environment. It works as a catalyst to encourage kids to ride to school on a daily basis, rather than being driven. So kids, parents and grandparents, grab your helmets and get pedaling for a good cause.
