Oh no, I've Got Pine Mouth!

BY DIONNE LISTER

If your new partner told you they had pine mouth, would you run away? It’s ok, don’t panic, they haven’t got a disease they’ve just eaten the wrong pine nuts. Pine Mouth (not the medical name) is a condition where, following the consumption of pine nuts, the unfortunate person has a bitter or awful taste whenever they eat food. This condition can last from a few days to around four weeks and is not pleasant. The problem appears to stem from China, where these nuts are processed and it seems that inedible (but not poisonous) pine nuts are being mixed with edible ones. Hmm, sounds like a good weight loss solution; someone hand me the pesto.

What do you think?
