Product Road Test: Grown Eye Rejuvenative Cream

BY SOL PANDIELLA-MCLEOD

Eye cream has never been part of my beauty routine. I’ve always preferred to save time by using the moisturizer that I feed my face every night. Yes, I know the skin around the eyes is finer and should be treated differently but who has the time?

Anyway the other day I succumbed to actually purchasing my first eye cream. The fact that I recently turned 40 has nothing to do with it of course. Neither does the subliminal guilt trip that a perfect skinned 19-year-old ‘Origins’ sales rep inflicted on me, when she claimed to use it daily. Perhaps it’s the designer in me that was swayed by the cool packaging that was saturated with beautiful typography.

Tube of Grown Organic Eye cream

Never mind the reasons. The fact of the matter is that I tried it and I really, really like it. The fine lines around my eyes appear smoother and firmer, and I now like having a protective barrier on my eyes before applying eye-make up.

The Grown websites product description also mentions that its ideal for reducing puffiness and dark circles under the eyes.

The lucky little eye cream to join my skin regime is “Grown Rejuvenative eye cream”. As I already mentioned, the little tube that it comes in is simply gorgeous but more importantly... the lovely, delicate, scentless cream inside is certified organic and made in Australia.

Whilst I’m still not certain that a 19 year old requires eye cream, I would recommend this particular eye cream to anyone who already uses one or anyone who like me is on the cusp of the forthcoming crows feet era of my life.

Grown Rejuvenative Eye Cream can be purchased from selected eco-conscious stores and directly from www.grown.com
