A new study has found that just under one third of metropolitan newspaper articles in Australia did not accept the scientific consensus that human beings are major contributors to global warming.

This figure increased from 2011 to 2012 even as the number of stories that referred to climate change went down. The study looked at just over 600 newspaper articles between 2011 and 2012. So what's going on?

The Australian Newspaper publishes more articles and features on climate change than other newspapers. Followed by SMH and The Age. Many of these articles take a 'sceptical' approach which is a real concern, specially when there are scientific reports which prove that climate change is in fact an issue that we should be taking seriously.
