Tastebud Roadtest: Chobani Yogurt

BY EARTHFIRST

Last week our taste buds were delighted to experience a range of natural yogurts by Chobani.

I must admit that I’m not a fan of most store-purchased yogurt, which I find overly sweet and slimy when it’s got fruit in it. (Yes I know, it’s probably just me, but I’m fussy when it comes to yogurt!)

I’ve actually been making my own yoghurt every week now for about 2 years, which I sweeten with honey or maple syrup and flavor with whatever seasonal fruit or berries are available.

Last week however after trying the Chobani samples, I was definitely converted! Even my 8 and 10 year old, were excited to try out the flavours and gave it the double thumbs up. Mango came out a clear winner, but the blueberry and passion fruit were also really, really yummy. I like the fact that they taste natural, they aren't overly sweet and the fruit was hiding at the base of the tub. Personally I love the smooth and creamy Greek yogurt one the best!

The packaging is also recyclable which is a bonus, not all yoghurt packaging is recyclable. Check the numbers at the bottom of the products, because not all numbers can be recycle. Click here to see an easy reference guide.
